We have considerable experience drafting wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney and advanced healthcare directives, which has allowed clients peace of mind knowing that their documents have everything in order and in many cases will transfer all assets without probate.
We are equally experienced in resolving real estate issues. This experience includes representation of title companies as well as individuals and has provided practical knowledge necessary to counsel clients on their real estate purchases and sales along with the ability to use transfer on death documents to ease the burden of passing title upon the death of the owners.
Probates are handled with the knowledge and experience that only 30 plus years of experience can create/develop. Easing the burden on families and friends is our goal when death takes a loved one or close friend.
For those whose loved ones died in another state but had New Mexico real estate, we have experience with ancillary probates and basic real estate, which allows for a smooth and less expensive process.
Mr. Karmiol studied at Brooklyn Law School, New York, in their full time legal program while working full time as an elementary school teacher. His course of study at the law school resulted in the awarding of a Juris Doctor degree. His experience as a teacher contributes to the depth of understanding needed in child custody and timesharing cases. As adults many clients have commented that their family, and they in particular, greatly benefitted from the guidance their parents received at the time of their divorce.
As a long time residence of the Rio Rancho area, Mr. Karmiol has been active in local volunteer and service groups such as the Rio Rancho Rotary Club and the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce. He has served as president of both groups and was a co-founder of the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce. He presently acts as volunteer attorney for several religious groups and other volunteer groups.
Our law office strives to provide quality legal services in several practice areas assisted by experienced staff. Some services are billed flat fees which are discussed and agreed upon in advance. Other services are billed hourly where the full nature of that which is required depends on the complexity and issues that require litigation.
As an experienced attorney in the Rio Rancho area, Mr. Karmiol is acquainted with other attorneys in the vicinity and many others in Albuquerque as well. For those issues outside our practice areas, our knowledge of other legal practices allows for referrals to experienced practitioners, who can assist with issues where they have a greater expertise. Calls for referrals on other issues are welcomed.
